(Crain's) — The top executives of Abbott Laboratories took a hit in total compensation in 2011, with many receiving double-digit decreases, according to a proxy made public Thursday.
CEO Miles White fared the best among his high-ranking colleagues, taking home a total of $24 million, just 6 percent less than in 2010, when his total compensation reached $25.6 million. His pay included a $4.2 million bonus for leading the charge to split the North Chicago-based company into two, the proxy said.
