LONDON (Reuters) - Drug delivery firm SkyePharma (SKP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday that it had appointed Argeris "Jerry" Karabelas as chairman, replacing founder and former chairman Ian Gowrie-Smith.
The firm said last month that Gowrie-Smith was resigning following a move by some investors to oust him.
The group, led by North Atlantic Value had blamed Gowrie-Smith for a strategy of "over-promising on performance but under-delivering" and demanded that drug industry veteran Bob Thian be appointed instead.
Insiders' view: Jerry must now under-promise and over-deliver!
