Steve Nissen MD - saint or sinner?

Meet Dr Steve Nissen MD, "the nation's most controversial heart doctor".

Is he a saint (Vioxx, Pargluva) or a sinner (Crestor)?

Or both, maybe.....

"We're on the verge of a breakthrough with the industry to make them understand that it's not in their interest to hold everything so close to the chest," he said. "It may sound self-serving, but we can provide a level of confidence and integrity that will allow the public to regain confidence."

You decide, with the help of the NJ Star-Ledger (a great piece, guys)

He's an insincere researcher, more interested in media exposure than in the scientific truth. Probably vying for the NIH Director job...a disaster in the making. An academic toad...
