Keith Hellawell, the former "UK drugs tsar" and ex-senior policeman, is joining the board of troubled Goldshield Group.
Recently the Serious Fraud Office charged Goldshield and Ajit and Kirti Patel, company founders and directors, with alleged price-fixing of medicines supplied to the National Health Service.
Four other generic drugs companies are also facing similar allegations.
