Sanofi Aventis - Le Fur named as the "dandy dauphin"
The chairman of Sanofi-Aventis has paved the way for a long-term successor when he pledged to hand his second job as chief executive to his head of research and development from the start of next year.
Jean-François Dehecq, the charismatic deal-maker who has built the company through acquisitions into one of the world's largest drugs groups over the past three decades, told shareholders that he would propose Gérard Le Fur (pictured, looking "smokin!") to take on one of his two roles.
