Ex drug rep turned film maker blows the whistle on Big Pharma - interview

Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau spent ten years of her life selling drugs for Big Pharma.

Kathleen had it all – a big salary, a company car, a closet full of business suits, company perks, and a growing pit in her stomach. Throughout the course of her ten year career, she documented both amusing and frightening incidents that occurred in her daily life as a sales representative for big drug companies.

In this eye-opening interview with CRUSADOR editor Greg Ciola, Kathleen shares with the public the pill-pushing tactics of the pharmaceutical industry’s leading companies and the reasons why we all need to be concerned about the drugs doctors are prescribing to patients.

Go here for the full interview.

Thanks so much for mentioning Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau and our company's films about the ethically suspect conduct of Big Pharma. For more information on our films ('Money Talks: Profits Before Patient Safety' and 'Side Effects') check out our websites:

Thanks!

*shudder*

I need to go take a shower after reading Ms. Slattery-Moschkau's interview. For the most part, her assessment rings true with what acquaintances in pharma sales have told me. With regard to recruiting non-scientists for the sales force, this makes perfect sense. After all, someone with a solid scientific background would tend to be skeptical and might question marketing's spiel.

That "Crusader Caution" at the end of the interview was a tad bizarre. Ooooh, "Side Effects" has an R-rating! Devout Christians beware!
