Schering-Plough Bristol-Myers Squibb?


While most Wall Street analysts look to Europe for possible suitors to take over ailing Bristol-Myers Squibb, a dark-horse candidate may soon emerge in the company's own back yard.

Schering-Plough is seriously considering approaching Bristol-Myers about a possible merger, a move that would combine two of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry, according to three people with direct knowledge of Schering- Plough's deliberations.
