UniChem/Pfizer UK deal - now the lawyers wade in

Alliance Boots has launched a European legal action to defend its new drug distribution deal with the UK arm of Pfizer, The Times has learnt.

UniChem, the drug wholesaling arm of the merged Alliance Boots group, filed an application last week in a Brussels commercial court against the European Association of Pharmaceutical Full-Line Wholesalers.

The action is designed to overturn efforts by the wholesalers group to block a deal struck earlier this year between Alliance Boots and Pfizer that would make it the sole distributor for all Pfizer medicines in the UK

Novartis, a very shor history and few facts and you make your own conclusions, re this action agains the poor and helpless of the thirld World.
It originates from Switzerland the beautiful country with noble and just people who normally would not harm a proverbial fly let alone the poor and sick. The predecesors of Novartis, before the merger, were two most noble and wonderful companies by the name Sandoz and Ciba/Geigy. Novartis has abandoned everything that Swiss people and the two noble companies stood for. It has become a multinational, predatory big pharma Co. And it behaives like one as this case clearly show.
Dr. D. Vasell is a "real" medical doctor, who has taken the Hypocritic oath, saying that he would "first do no harm". Right?!
It has been posted earlier that lot of these big pharma Co. are being run by MD's as chief bosses at one level or the other and influence the decision making processes. Can anyone believe that these doctors are doing this to our population. Believe it.
Novartis is also the biggest maker of generic drugs in the World under the SANDOZ name. Is this some kind of sick joke of theirs to take a Noble name like Sandoz and give it to generic drug maker, for the big pharma "hates" the generic makers? I bet it was.
One can not figure out what is really behind this kind of action by Novartis, but one can be pretty sure that their generic business has to do with this also. India maybe the biggest exporter of generics, but since they are not made by Sandoz (read Novartis) that can not be. Novartis would prefer to milk the brand Glivec for 25 years and then and only then make the generic form for the masses. Also all these big pharma companies are counting on the compession of deacent people all over the World to not let the poor be without drugs so we have to buy their "brand" glivec and others on the open market at top prices, for 25 years.Novartis is no different, in fact worse as this case showes. Is there any wonder that all big pharam companies are enormously rich and they know where to spread it. You do not want me to get into that this time. Maybe next time.
