BMS has reached an agreement in principle to settle a federal probe into the drug company's pricing and sales and marketing activities, and it cut its profit forecast for the year.
The proposed agreement, made with the Justice Department and the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts, provides for a civil resolution and an expected payment of $499 million.
There would now be no criminal charges brought against the company.

Here is another example of major misconduct of major big pharma co. that will go unpunished in real terms. The fine they will pay is their "cost of doing business". They will neither admit nor deny the wrongdoing, but pay the fine and go on with other type of misconduct that increases their sales and profits, till they get cought again and the cycle repeats.
When will we be able to hurt them for real?
