Wyeth - Prempro: calling Chairman Essner

Wyeth Chairman Robert Essner will likely be called to testify at the trial of an Arkansas woman's claim that the company failed to warn women that its menopause treatment Prempro had cancer risks.

William Curtis, a lawyer for the woman, Helene Rush, told prospective jurors that he planned to call Essner, who is also Wyeth's chief executive officer, and 13 other current and former employees to testify at the trial.

Essner has never taken the witness stand in previous Prempro trials.

Why Robert, you might ask?

This might be the reason!
