Big Pharma medics - fancy getting away from it all?

We were contacted last week about a need for a doctor in the Antarctic. The position is for 10 months and you would need to be there on February 16.

Originally they only wanted a doctor who was Board Certified but they have expanded the search to include doctors from the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

This position will pay US$2,680 per week along with other benefits. You will be required to have a physical and psychiatric exam to make sure you are fit to do this.

If you are interested or know of anyone who would be interested, please let me know. This will go on a first come first serve basis. They need to identify a couple of candidates immediately.

Salary - $2680/week*** Room/Board - dormitory accommodations, most likely with roommates & dining hall/galley-style meals***

54-hour work week (position is not eligible for over-time) / usually six (6) 9-hour days and off on Sundays***

Additional Polar Information: Antarctica is a remote, extreme weather location with high-winds, snow and extremely cold weather. All employees must live and work in a tightly-knit group and teamwork is a must!

Contract compensation includes: * Weekly salary * Reimbursement of expenses to physically qualify * Travel to and from Antarctica * Room & board * Extreme cold weather gear * Comprehensive benefit package * Performance-based bonus awarded upon successful completion of contract (0-20% of earned salary for first contract year)

If a position is offered, employment is contingent upon applicant's ability to: * Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency * Pass strict physical, dental and psychological (winter contracts only) examinations * Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check * Obtain a current passport at own expense

Failure to meet these requirements may result in withdrawal of employment offer or other employment action. All employees must also comply with applicable safety, environment, health, and waste management policies and procedures.

I really hope to hear back from you.
