AstraZeneca (and Pfizer) cut more UK jobs

AstraZeneca has confirmed that it plans to restructure its marketing team by chopping 300 permanents jobs.

The announcement comes as AstraZeneca looks to appoint a lead digital agency to handle its online business across its entire portfolio of UK products as its looks to consolidate its digital business.

The company has defended its decision to make 150 full-time staff redundant, and to move an additional 150 staff from permanent to temporary contracts by the end of the year, in order to adhere to structural changes within the NHS’s Strategic Health Authority.

In addition a little bird has told Insider that Pfizer UK are laying more people off as well!
