From Doug at The Placebo Journal:
In honor of the pharmaceutical company, Purdue Frederick, I would be flattered if you would spread this parady around the Internet. For those that don't know, makers of the narcotic painkiller OxyContin will pay $634.5 million after they recently pleaded guilty to misbranding the drug with the intent to defraud and mislead the public about its addictive qualities. The company promoted OxyContin as less subject to abuse than it really was and trained the reps to state it was difficult to extract oxycodone from the drug for purposes of abuse. A little secret, all narcs can be addictive.
On a personal note, I was accosted by some Purdue reps when I showed this parody as a poster during a medical conference. It almost got ugly. Look whose laughing now?
Also hat tip to Benedict.
