Texas sued three pharmaceutical companies Wednesday, alleging a scheme that cost the state tens of millions of dollars in overpayments to retailers for prescriptions dispensed under the Medicaid program.
"Texas taxpayers will not tolerate the abuse of our Medicaid system and those who depend on it for their health care," Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said.
The lawsuit was filed in state district court in Travis County against Sandoz, Mylan and Teva along with subsidiaries of the three firms.
