GSK - Stout's out

GlaxoSmithKline said on Friday that Chris Viehbacher, who recently lost out in the race to become group chief executive, was joining the drugmaker's board, but another unsuccessful contender, David Stout, was leaving.

Eddie Gray, currently Senior Vice President and General Manager Pharmaceuticals UK, will succeed Andrew Witty -- named chief executive-designate in October -- as President, Pharmaceuticals Europe from Jan. 1, Europe's biggest drugmaker said in a statement.
