DTC in Europe - The Picker Institute responds

The deadline of April 7th to respond to the EC’s preliminary proposal is fast approaching.

A BMJ editorial neatly summarises some of the key issues.

The Picker Institute has submitted its response, strongly opposing the Commission’s proposal, and calling instead for the European Commission to develop and implement a multi-agency medicines information strategy to address information inequalities across the Member States.

If you would like to work with the Picker Institute on this issue please email ecinfo@pickereurope.ac.uk to register your interest. If you are responding, you should copy it to the MHRA which is preparing the UK’s official position email Info@mhra.gsi.gov.uk.
