Chris Viehbacher, one of the most senior executives at GlaxoSmithKline, the UK pharmaceuticals group, is to quit for a top job with a large competitor company, heralding a fresh shake-up in the drugs sector.
Mr Viehbacher, currently president for North American pharmaceuticals at GSK and a board director, will leave at the start of December after being approached to run another pharmaceuticals company, yet to be named.
