Nycomed moves on Solvay

Nycomed recently made an offer to acquire Solvay's pharmaceuticals business for 4 billion euros to 4.5 billion euros ($5.9 billion to $6.6 billion), according to reports which cited people familiar with the matter. The sources also indicated that Solvay had received other proposals. Full story
