Bill Murray's World of Pharma: 'Groundhog Day' and 'Lost in Translation'? By Mike Williams


An inevitable fact, however unwelcome, is that the pool of viable companies and compounds, like oil, rapidly is being depleted, leaving in its stead what author and Bear Stearns Managing Partner Jurgen Drews described in 2003 as the pieces of coal that hopes and best efforts are unlikely to turn into the diamonds that can become blockbuster drugs.

That was the second time I have heard Groundhog Day referenced this week, the other was referencing the state of the state meeting in California, someone wrote the meeting was just like Ground Hog day, same thing, same issues, and people discussing the same stuff.
