Big Pharma's shell game - Duff Wilson reports


“The drug industry made over $50 billion in profits in 2008,” Representative Henry A. Waxman, Democrat of California and chairman of the Commerce Committee, said at the hearing. “The drug companies are playing a shell game when they tell us they’re going to take reductions in government expenditures, yet they’re going to get millions of new customers for drugs, and at the same time they’re increasing their drug prices at a record rate.”
