Big Pharma’s solution for our health woes: more and more pills for the elderly
I wish my elderly Mother was only takng 5 different drugs at a time. The number of prescriptions given to the elderly (and not so elderly)is often obscene. Usually, every 5 years or so, some Doc with some sense stops the madness and cuts back on the number of differnt drugs with good effects. I'm not really sure how it then builds back up - other than Docs prescribe drugs just like gluttons eat or Tiger Woods chases hotesses. Probably surrogate addictive behavior, Munchhauser's Prescriptions by Proxy - something like that
