Help us tell Europe to keep their hands off our medicine!  - MSF UK

Hello!

My name is Katie and I work for MSF in the London office. First of all I just want to say a big thank you for your interest in helping us with this urgent campaign.

On Wednesday 1st December (World AIDS Day) we are having a day of action for our campaign Europe! Hands off our Medicine. This campaign aims to safeguard affordable medicine for millions of people in developing countries, who rely on them to stay alive.

The EU are currently holding talks that could stop the supply of generic medicines from India, known as the pharmacy of the developing world.  The aim of this campaign is to try and make sure that this source of affordable drugs is not shut off.

As a follower of @MSF_UK I want to ask you to help us promote the day of action by encouraging your followers to spend five minutes to join our campaign, using special content that I will send to you. We will also provide you with a Hands Off! avatar to show your support on the day (that you can also give to your followers!)

I have put together a special page on the website that has tons more information about the campaign and the day of action, as well as lots of videos for you to watch and possibly use if you have a blog as well. The page can be found at /hands_off_information_page.aspx

If you can help us please let me know at web.intern@london.msf.org or tweet me at the @MSF_UK twitter account.

Any help you can give us with this would be massively appreciated, and will be crucial to the success of the day.

Many thanks

Katie Miall
