When I speak to colleagues, I am putting my reputation on the line,

Three New Hampshire doctors -- all psychiatrists -- earned more than $100,000 in speaking and consulting fees from pharmaceutical companies in 2009 and early 2010.

More than $1 million in payments were made by drug companies to 71 New Hampshire physicians in that time period, according to Pro Publica. Payments typically ranged from a few hundred dollars for speaking fees to $63,175 to a Lebanon psychiatrist for "health care professional education programs."
