AstraZeneca's Brennan speaks

Oh the irony!

The reforms will cost AZ about the same as the fines they paid to settle Seoquel miss-marketing issues!

What a surprise, is he going to plead poverty & confess all sins next...lol

Of course once their patents expire with little in the pipe line to replace them; the profits are going to dip.

He should be worried though, it appears many of those Seroquel cases Brennan deemed settled maybe going to trial after-all...

AstraZeneca has already raised their drug prices in advance of the health care legislation to off set possible adverse effects it might have had.

As with the similar situations in the banking, mortgage, tech sector, and other like milking operations...Pharma's bubble is long over due to burst..It's not like they have re-invented the wheel...

Just some comments in a Seroquel forum that appear to point toward a Seroquel settlement negotiations breakdown with some of the litigant law firms opting for trials.

KARMA - Albuquerque, NM: "Got a FedEx today from Weitz & Luxenburg. My case was selected for discovery and may proceed to a deposition. W&L are not planning on a settlement at this time. They feel we can and will beat AZ in court. For me this is welcome news. I just realeased all my medical records
to the Representatives of AstraZeneca. I had to submit a Fact Sheet and specific medical records to the court."

teffy - Union, SC: "I also received FEDEX today. same comments as KARMA above. I guess we are moving along."
