Sanofi-Aventis SA has finished examining Genzyme Corp.'s financial books and facilities, but the parties still need to hammer out lingering differences on price, people familiar with the matter said.
Sanofi didn't find any major issues in the examination that would prevent the talks from moving forward, but the French pharmaceutical company may be looking to adjust its last offer based on what it learned from its examination of Genzyme.
