Ruth McKernan, Pfizer’s senior vice-president and head of the Sandwich site, was also challenged about plans to reduce redundancy terms for the workers affected.
McKernan admitted that cutting severance pay to two-and-half weeks per year of service, down from three-and-a-half weeks, was “under consultation”.
