It's sad that Johnson & Johnson, Bayer are not informing doctors the proper use of these antibiotics and their side effects. So when people do have side effects they can get proper treatments.

It is really a misuse of the term "side effect" when referring to the devastating consaquences that often occur after taking Levaquin or Cipro. A side effect is something that usually occurs while you are taking the drug and clears up at some time therafter. This is not the case with the fluoroquinolones. The effects are often devastating and permanent. if healing takes place, it is never complete and is measured in years and months. Usually the affected patient is disabled and cannot work for at least the recovery period. These are life changing events, all for the worse. The cure is usually a lot worse than the disease. As one who has been affected by Levaquin, I would advise others to not take it - ever. And if they do, keep the dosage as short and small as possible. There is a very real correlation between dosage and duration and permanent health-destroying effects. In addition, many patients do not know they are suffering from fq poisoning, for two reasons. First, most physicians always deny any connection between the disabling effects and the durgs, and second, most effects occur up to 18 months AFTER the antiobiotics have already been taken.

I too was a victim of Levaquin. I don't know if changing your diet will help you, but it has helped me. All you have to do is eat only organic meats and dairy and drink spring water only. My doctor told me that the antibiotic is staying in the tendons of the animals just like it is with us.
Good luck, I hope this helps.
