Amgen Inc. told its research and development staff today that changes are coming as the company seeks to align its business needs, according to a company spokeswoman.
The Thousand Oaks-based biotech company offered few details about the changes, saying more information will be provided during its third quarter earnings call on Oct. 24.
"As we discussed with our R&D staff today, we are currently evaluating some changes within our Research & Development organization to improve focus and to reallocate resources to key pipeline assets and activities," Mary Klem, director of corporate communications, said in a statement.
