Pharmaceuticals giant Pfizer has said it expects to make another 700 people redundant from its plant in Sandwich.
A consultation process on the proposals formally closed on Thursday, a spokeswoman said.
The company said about 650 jobs would remain at the Sandwich Discovery Park, with a further 250 staff moving to other UK sites.
A total of about 1,500 staff will have been made redundant and about 900 staff retained at the end of the process.
