AstraZeneca site is sold to jayplas
May 23 2012 By Matt Jarram
ASTRAZENECA has sold its massive 69-acre vacant site to plastic recycling company jayplas, the Echo can exclusively reveal.
A deal was struck on Wednesday, May 23, and the company will be taking over the site in July.
Four proposals were on the table for the pharmaceutical site – with two options to see the site demolished and kept empty, until land value increases.
But the company decided to go with J and A Young, which runs jayplas, which already has a site at Cotton Way and Weldon Road in the town.
