(David Sell, pharmaceutical reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, posted an article on his newspaper’s Website this morning about how Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Mark Bernstein on Thursday denied a request from a Johnson & Johnson attorney to prevent him from attending the public-portion of jury selection for a Risperdal trial scheduled to start next week. We asked Mr. Sell about his odd experience and his views on J&J’s legal strategy and behavior.)
Q: In your time covering court cases, have you ever experienced a defendant’s lawyer trying to bar you from a jury selection proceeding before? If so, what were the circumstances?
