Demolishing Pfizer UK

Demolition on Pfizer site

BUILDINGS occupying a quarter of the Pfizer site will be demolished in the new year, say its new owners.

A planning application for nine office and laboratory buildings to be pulled down has been submitted to Dover District Council today (Friday).

Discovery Park managing director Paul Barber said: "Pfizer decanted out of these 1980s buildings into the Millennium buildings and so they have been empty for several years.

"They are very dated and not fit for purpose any more. There have been roof leaks and they have not been maintained.

"The cost of repairing and refurbishing these buildings is way beyond what they are worth, it would run into several millions.
