Elizabeth Warren to write book titled ‘Rigged’

Freshman Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is writing a new book about her experience after the financial crisis, using the working title “Rigged.”

“The title refers to how the economic system is too often rigged against families that work hard and play by the rules. The story is national, but it’s also personal. These are issues close to my heart,” Warren told the Associated Press.

Warren came to the Senate after beating Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) in the 2012 election. She ran for the office after Republicans in that chamber balked at confirming her to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Warren, who has written nine books, said she does not yet have a publisher. Any book deal is subject to approval by the Senate ethics committee.
