Poor J & J. Firstly, they are embroiled in a nasty law suit with Amgen:

Now they seem unsure about the purchace of Guidant (for a coolUS$25.4 billion) although Guidant officials say J&J are legally bound to go through with the deal.
Perhaps they are looking at another possible suitor?
But it doesn't sound like they have a clear plan, does it?
