It's a start

AstraZeneca has said it plans to add more information to its U.S. Web site in an effort to boost the transparency of the global drug company's operations.

Among the new information the company plans to provide are listings of grants to health care organizations, details of contributions to nonprofit organizations and AstraZeneca's commitments to study drugs after they hit the market.

The company said those pieces of information would be available at http://www.astrazeneca-us.com/ by this fall.

Insider's view: it's a start - but why wait until fall?

Could it be that they need some time to put their house in order?

Feel free to let Insider know about any shady "buckets o' money" you currently slopping about in accounting.
