Ratiopharm cut 600

Ratiopharm plans to cut 600 jobs over the next 18 months, as it seeks to reduce its annual operating costs by approximately €100 million. The move will affect one in nine of the company’s global workforce of 5,400 staff.

A third of the redundancies – some of which will be compulsory – will be in the home market of the German generics and OTC player. The company has 2,850 employees in Germany, including 2,300 at its administrative hub in Ulm and nearby Blaubeuren.
