True or spoof?
In the UK Guardian, it is briefly noted that scientists at Imperial College London scientists have developed a genetically modified mosquito with luminous testicles that could help in the battle against malaria. The glowing testicles helps scientists identify the males - previously a difficult task, since it was impossible to quickly separate male and female mosquitoes. However, the newly sterilised creatures are to be tested in the wild soon.
