Texas to receive $36M from Pfizer, Endo settlements
The state of Texas will receive more than $36 million from two civil Medicaid fraud settlements with Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) and Endo Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ENDP).
The state of Texas will receive more than $36 million from two civil Medicaid fraud settlements with Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) and Endo Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ENDP), Attorney General Greg Abbott said Friday.
Both companies will pay $18.17 million to the state, plus attorney fees and relator shares. The federal government is also entitled to a share of the total settlement, Abbott’s statement said.

Ven-A-Care of the Florida Keys Inc., the pharmacy that first identified the improper price reporting, filed a whistleblower lawsuit pursuant to the Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act and is entitled to a share of the settlement under the act.
